Job summary

St. Brigid’s Family and Community Centre in Waterford offers a Youth Programme Planning Assistant role under the Community Employment scheme. This is a developmental opportunity with accredited training provided and no prior experience required.

The post focuses on coordinating activities for youths aged 10–24 and supporting club activities. The appointed person will organise schedules, assist in delivering curricula, supervise on-site and field activities, and help with admin tasks.

Qualifications

• No prior experience required; accredited training provided.
• Interest and aptitude for youth work.
• Evening and weekend work will apply.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate daily schedules and activity plans.
• Assist with implementation and lead or co-lead planned activities.
• Aid preparation and maintenance of indoor/outdoor areas.
• Research new games, programs or activities to introduce.
• Support and participate in After-School Homework & Activity Clubs.
• Supervise young people during activities and field trips.
• Support administrative functions underpinning the programs.
