Job summary

General Hardware Supplies Homevalue is seeking a motivated Yard Supervisor to oversee the flow of goods in our yard and ensure efficient operations. The role requires strong organisational abilities and experience in hardware or building supplies, with a focus on safety and accurate record-keeping.

You will organize orders, plan routes, and coordinate with drivers and internal teams to ensure timely deliveries and smooth yard operations.

Qualifications

• Experience in a similar yard or logistics role, preferably in hardware/building supplies.
• Strong organisational and time management capabilities to multitask effectively.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills for collaboration with drivers and customers.
• Proficiency with inventory and route-planning software used in logistics.
• Knowledge of safety regulations and best practices in yard operations.
• ability to work under pressure in a fast paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Organise and prioritise incoming and outgoing orders to ensure timely delivery and receipt of goods.
• Plan and coordinate delivery routes to optimise efficiency and meet customer requirements.
• Maintain accurate records of all orders, deliveries, and stock levels.
• Communicate with drivers, warehouse staff, and customers to ensure accurate and timely deliveries.
• Oversee loading and unloading of goods and ensure safety standards are followed.
• Monitor yard operations for safety compliance and contribute to process improvements.
