Job summary

Northgate Ireland has a permanent full-time vacancy for a Technician within our Workshop team in our Blanchardstown Dublin branch. We are expanding and seek a qualified mechanic with a minimum of 2 years’ experience to perform repairs on light commercial vehicles and to ensure compliance with all legal standards.

Qualifications

• Qualified Mechanic with minimum 2 years previous experience.
• Full clean driving licence (B).
• Detail oriented and professional in manner.
• Motivated team player.

Responsibilities

• Carrying out repairs on motor vehicles to the standards required by the company.
• Ensuring all vehicles inspected, worked on or serviced are maintained to legislation standards.
• Carry out all legal inspections in line with NRA guidelines.
• Liaise with workshop manager over required repairs.
• Complete all required paperwork to company standards.
• Mark and store warranty displaced parts correctly.
• Identify chargeable work and report to Workshop Manager/Supervisor.
• General housekeeping of the workshop area.

Our growing network of branches in Ireland and our sizeable fleet means we can get vehicles to customers quicker than any other light commercial vehicle supplier and we keep those vehicles on the road longer by minimising downtime. Our vehicle fleet is made up of light commercial vehicles (LCVs) from leading manufacturers including Mercedes Benz, Ford, Opel, Renault, Volkswagen and Peugeot.

We are growing our team and have a permanent full-time vacancy for a Technician within our Workshop team in our Blanchardstown Dublin branch.

Key Responsibilities:

• Carrying out repairs on motor vehicles to the standards required by the company
• Ensuring that all vehicles that are inspected, worked on or serviced are maintained to a standard that ensures the vehicle is compliant with all legislation
