Job Description

Qualifications: 1-3 years of previous welding experience required. Welding Certification preferred but not essential. There are no minimum academic requirements. Further training will be provided on-the-job as required. Candidates must be able to mig weld, perform fillet welds, and read drawings.

General Duties / Responsibilities / Experience:

• Operate welding equipment to join metalwork pieces together
• Use fusion welding processes based on various techniques and materials
• Perform simple visual inspection of welds
• Perform fillet welds, mig welding, and read drawings
• Wear appropriate protective gear and adhere to safety standards
• Smooth burred surfaces and recognize metal imperfections
• This role requires knowledge of welding techniques, torch temperature for metal processes, metal thermal conductivity, and fuel gas

Candidates must be competent to apply arc welding techniques and precision metalworking techniques. Candidates must be competent to ensure correct metal temperature and handle fuels. Candidates must have experience in recognizing signs of corrosion and removing inadequate workpieces.

Annual remuneration: €34,000.00; Pay rate €16.77 per hour. Work Location: Central Bus & Coach Limited, The Old Presbytery, Kenagh, Co. Longford, N39 W9D8. Number of hours work each week: 39.
