A well-established Steel Fabrication Shop in Dundalk is seeking skilled Fabricators Shop Fitters. Responsibilities include fabricating structural components, interpreting blueprints, and performing welding tasks. Applicants should have proven fabrication experience, proficiency in welding, and a valid driver's license. Overtime may be required based on project demands, with core hours from Monday to Friday, 6:00 AM to 2:30 PM.

Overview

We are a successful and well-established Structural and Miscellaneous Steel Fabrication Shop located in Dundalk, specializing in the fabrication of high-quality steel products. We are currently seeking skilled and experienced Fabricators Shop Fitters to join our team. If you are proficient in fabricating structural and miscellaneous steel components and thrive in a fast-paced environment, we encourage you to apply.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lay out and fabricate structural and miscellaneous steel components with precision.
  • Read and interpret detailed fabrication drawings and blueprints.
  • Perform MIG and stick welding, cutting, and burning of steel materials.
  • Work with a variety of steel products, including columns, beams, lintels, sills, clips, and plates.
  • Operate and maintain shop equipment such as shears, brake presses, drill presses, saws, and more.
  • Ensure all work is performed in accordance with the steel construction process and safety guidelines.
Qualifications
  • Proven experience in structural and miscellaneous steel fabrication.
  • Strong ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
  • Proficient in MIG and stick welding, with the ability to pass a welding test.
  • Familiarity with basic shop equipment and tools (shear, brake press, drill press, saws, etc.).
  • Strong mathematical skills, particularly in measurements and layout.
  • Basic computer skills for job tracking and inventory management.
  • Clean and valid driver’s license with at least 3 years of driving history.
  • Flexibility to work overtime, including Saturdays when required.
Work Hours

Core hours are Monday to Friday, 6:00 AM - 2:30 PM. Overtime, including Saturdays, may be required based on project demands.
