Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Carry out welding and structural repairs on metal parts and structures.
• Join, cut, and shape metal parts using high-heat equipment while following precise design specifications.
• Read blueprints, calibrate welding machines, prepare metal surfaces and perform welds in various positions.
• Inspect welds and joints to ensure structural integrity and quality standards.

Glenferry Coaches Limited T/A Kearneys of Cork at Waterfront Business Park, Little Island, Co.Cork, is looking for 2 welder. The ideal candidate will have a passion for the job and a drive to learn and grow within the field.

• Carry out welding and structural repairs on metal parts and structures.
• Join, cut, and shape metal parts using high-heat equipment while following precise design specifications.
• Responsibilities include reading blueprints, calibrating welding machines, preparing metal surfaces, performing welds in various positions (e.g., flat, vertical, overhead), and inspecting final products for structural defects and quality control.
• Inspect welds and joints to ensure structural integrity and compliance with quality standards.
• Comply with all health and safety regulations and workplace procedures.
• Work collaboratively with the technical team in line with agreed schedules.

• A minimum of 2 years’ welding experience is required.
• Good communication skills and ability to work as part of a team.
• Practical Knowledge of reading technical drawings.

Annual Remuneration: €36,606.00

Pay rate: € 18.05 per hour

Number of hours work each week: 39
