Job summary

Valeo is seeking a Maintenance Technician to join our production team in Ireland. You will perform preventative maintenance, respond to downtime, and ensure safe operation of equipment while adhering to 5S and PPE requirements.

Two to three years in electronics manufacturing, hands-on experience with in-circuit and functional testing, and PC-based testing are preferred. You will document spare parts, support PM records, and train colleagues as part of a fixed-term contract.

Qualifications

• Certificate/Diploma in Electronic Engineering or equivalent.
• 2–3 years in a manufacturing environment, preferably electronics.
• Experience with in-circuit and functional testing.

Responsibilities

• Adhere to safety requirements: PPE, LOTO, emergency response, and safe equipment condition.
• Support production so TRP and TLR targets are consistently achieved; respond to downtime promptly.
• Log downtime and generate DT reports each shift.
• Document and communicate spare parts consumed; highlight issues.
• Work with Spare Parts Technician to optimise inventory and costs.
• Ensure effective shift handover and 5S compliance.
• Complete preventative maintenance tasks and update PM records; ensure stock for PM.

Follow up with permanent corrective action as required.** - **Adhere to Line QRQC standard.** - **Application of Escalation Procedure** - **Establish root cause. Application of Logical thinking. Be able to use equipment schematics, manuals, etc in the course of establishing root cause. Adhere to troubleshooting standards.** - **Correct the problem** + **Log all equipment downtime and generate DT reports each shift*** **Support ERIM process*** **Document and communicate all Spare Parts consumed. Highlight any spare parts related issues.*** **Work with Spare Parts Technician to optimise spare parts inventory, cost, supplier reduction, etc*** **Ensure the relevant information is shared effectively across all shifts and among all required groups.*** **Ensure an effective shift handover occurs at the start/end of each shift*** **Complete preventative maintenance tasks to schedule. Update PM records. Ensure spares/consumables required for PM-activity are in stock.*** **Adhere to 5S requirements in both production and Technician work areas.*** **Feedback to the relevant Test Engineers issues concerning the performance of Test Equipment.*** **Support initiatives to improve process/equipment performance*** **Support initiatives to reduce setup and changeover times – CMAT/ICT/Function Testers/Fisheye*** **Provide training to other technicians.*** **The company has the right to request an employee to be flexible in his/her duties.****Education:*** **Certificate/Diploma Electronic Engineering (or equivalent).******Professional****Experience***** **2-3 Years working in a manufacturing environment.
