Job summary

CREGG Group in Cork, Ireland is seeking a Manufacturing Technician for weekend shifts with a multinational medical device client. The role involves preventative and corrective maintenance on production lines, troubleshooting equipment issues, and supporting continuous improvement to maximise uptime and compliance with quality and safety standards.

2+ years’ experience in regulated manufacturing is required.

Qualifications

2+ years’ experience in equipment maintenance in a high-volume regulated manufacturing environment.
National Craft Certificate or equivalent level 6 qualification.
Strong knowledge of electrical, mechanical, and pneumatic problem solving.
Experience with GMP, FDA and ISO 13485 is advantageous.

Responsibilities

Carry out scheduled preventative maintenance on production and facility equipment.
Respond to equipment breakdowns, diagnose faults, and perform corrective maintenance to minimize downtime.
Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities in CMMS.
Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations.
Collaborate with engineering, production, and quality teams on equipment qualification, validation, and continuous improvement projects.
Assist in installation, commissioning, and handover of new equipment.
Participate in root cause analysis (RCA) and implement corrective and preventive maintenance.
Contribute to lean manufacturing, energy efficiency, and equipment reliability.
