Job summary

Bluebird Care Dublin North is seeking caring Healthcare Assistants to join the weekend team across Dublin North, including Santry, Finglas, Glasnevin, Drumcondra, Ballymun and nearby areas.

As a Home Care Assistant you will travel between clients' homes, delivering personalised support to help individuals remain independent at home, with a strong focus on compassion and reliability. Training and on-call support are provided, fostering a welcoming team environment.

Qualifications

• Good spoken and written English required.
• Previous work experience in Ireland required.
• Availability to work weekends is essential.

Responsibilities

• Assisting clients with personal care (washing, dressing, grooming and toileting)
• Supporting clients with mobility and safe transfers
• Preparing meals and assisting with feeding where required
• Providing companionship and emotional support
• Supporting medication prompts and reminders
• Carrying out light household duties including laundry and tidying
• Promoting client independence, dignity and choice
• Reporting any concerns or changes in client wellbeing promptly
• Accurately completing care records and visit notes
