A local non-profit organization in Limerick is seeking individuals to assist with the distribution of goods. Responsibilities include unloading trucks, sorting items, and maintaining inventory. Eligibility to participate on CE is generally linked to those who are 21 years or over and in receipt of a qualifying social welfare payment for 1 year or more or 18 years and over for certain disadvantaged groups. Your eligibility will have to be verified by the Department.

Overview

Location: Unit 36, Eastlink Business Park, Ballysimon Road, Limerick, V94 X56T

Duties
  • Assist in the distribution of goods to food banks, hubs and other organisations
  • Assist in receiving of goods in the warehouse - unloading trucks and checking in merchandise
  • Assist in the collection and distribution of goods to the Mid West Simon shop
  • Prepares orders by processing requests and supply orders; pulling materials, packing boxes, placing orders in delivery area
  • Sort and place materials or items on racks, shelves or in bins according to organisational standards
  • Open bales, crates and other containers
  • Maintains inventory controls
  • Maintains safe and clean work environment by keeping shelves, pallet area and work stations neat - sweep, dust and mop
  • Wear the proper safety equipment
  • Comply with all training requirements
  • All general works associated with the operation of the food distribution service
