Job summary

Elite Talent Hub represents a well-established Cork-based client seeking a Warehouse Operative / Forklift Driver to join a busy distribution team on a permanent, full-time basis.

The role offers on-the-job training, development and upskilling opportunities, with overtime and a pension plan. You will load/unload, check orders, and ensure accuracy and safety in a fast-paced warehouse environment in Cork. Salary up to EUR 32,000 per year, DOE.

Qualifications

• Forklift licence desired; multi-directional forklift experience an advantage.
• Full driving licence is required.
• Availability to work overtime as required.

Responsibilities

• Pick orders accurately and pack and wrap them for dispatch to company protocols.
• Check all orders before dispatch and report issues such as duplicates or shortages.
• Check in deliveries and highlight any issues.
• Check the courier manifest to confirm correct quantities.
• Load and unload vehicles and store products in allocated areas.
• Carry out stock counts and put away stock and orders.
• Deal with colleagues, customers and hauliers proactively.
• Maintain a tidy work area and adhere to health and safety requirements.
• Report issues to the supervisor and carry out other tasks as assigned.

About the Role:

Our client, a well-established supply and distribution company in Cork, is looking for a Warehouse Operative / Forklift Driver to join their busy warehouse team on a permanent, full-time basis. This role suits someone with a proactive attitude and a willingness to learn - full on-the-job training is provided, with genuine development and upskilling opportunities.

Key Responsibilities:

• Pick orders accurately and pack and wrap them for dispatch to company protocols
• Check all orders before dispatch and report any issues such as duplicates or shortages, ensuring order, invoice and goods match
• Check in deliveries and highlight any issues
• Check the courier manifest to confirm the correct number of boxes, pallets, returns and any changes
• Load and unload vehicles and move and store products in the correct areas
• Carry out stock counts and put away stock and orders in allocated areas
• Deal with colleagues, customers and hauliers in a proactive, engaging and helpful manner
• Maintain and keep the work area tidy and adhere to all health and safety requirements
• Report issues or concerns to the supervisor and carry out other tasks as assigned by the manager

Requirements:

• Forklift licence desired - multi-directional forklift experience an advantage but not essential
• Full driving licence
• Good communication skills and enjoy a warehouse environment and dealing with customers
