Role Title : Warehouse Operations Manager
Business Unit : DHL Global Forwarding
Location : Cork
Reports to : Head of Implant Community
Days & Hours of Work : 07.00 – 15.30 Monday – Thursday, 07.00 – 14.30 Friday. Flexibility essential to fulfill role requirements.
Accountabilities
Key Activities
- Organize and manage daily operational activities of the team, ensuring completion within deadlines (replenishing, shipping, goods receiving).
- Manage shift schedules and provide cover plans for holidays and absences in collaboration with the customer.
- Manage materials in warehouse and third-party warehouses, liaising with the customer on deliveries.
- Manage cycle counts, ensuring they are added and completed on time.
- Manage returns from manufacturing.
- Ensure transfer orders and requirements are executed and cleared.
- Order and maintain PPE equipment for the team.
- Ensure all Power Industrial Vehicle training/licences are up to date.
- Oversee handovers to relevant stakeholders.
- Maintain daily communication with the customer.
Team Management & Development
- Mentor team members to develop their skills and support growth.
- Maintain records of annual leave and absences.
- Conduct return-to-work interviews and manage absenteeism issues.
- Handle disciplinary issues in collaboration with HR.
- Conduct performance reviews, set targets, and monitor progress.
Other Responsibilities
- Ensure compliance with revenue, trade legislation, data protection, and company policies (H&S, Quality, Environmental, HR).

Skills / Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years' experience in a similar role with proven leadership skills.
- Forklift experience, preferably narrow aisle; pharma goods handling desirable.
- Experience with GMP standards and continuous improvement.
- Self-motivated, with strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Results-oriented with attention to detail and proficiency in MS Office, especially Excel.
- Strong administrative and customer service skills.
- Qualifications: Leaving Certificate required; forwarding/logistics qualification and Qualified Known Consignor are desirable.
