Job summary

PCI Pharma Services in Dundalk, Ireland is seeking a Warehouse Manager to oversee all warehouse functions, ensuring H&S, GMP, and GDP compliance while leading continuous improvement efforts. You will coordinate across Planning, Production and QA to ensure timely kits and accurate inventory management.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in logistics or related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years warehouse management experience in a GMP or regulated environment.

  • Proficiency in inventory management, data analysis, and reporting.
  • Experience with ERP systems (e.g., JDE) and warehouse management software.

  • Strong communication, organizational, and leadership abilities.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage all warehouse functions, ensuring compliance with H&S, GMP, customer requirements, and PCI policies.
  • Oversee documentation in line with GDP, ensuring records are complete and audit-ready.
  • Maintain audit-ready warehouse for customer and regulatory inspections as SME for warehouse visits.
  • Collaborate with Planning, Production, and QA to ensure timely production kits.
  • Oversee stock management, cycle counting, inventory reporting, and obsolescence.
  • Design, implement, and monitor KPIs for warehouse functions and continuously evaluate performance.
  • Identify gaps in resourcing and training, developing corrective plans.
  • Manage customer-driven changes and ensure timely implementation in warehouse processes.
  • Liaise with external logistics providers to ensure delivery timelines and GMP compliance.
  • Handle temperature-sensitive or hazardous materials procedures.
  • Conduct risk assessments and implement mitigations to prevent non-compliance or safety incidents.
  • Assess warehouse layout to enhance efficiency, safety, and compliance.
  • Investigate deviations and implement CAPA to ensure resolution.
  • Lead warehouse projects end-to-end with resource planning and progress reporting.
  • Serve as SME for JDE and drive logistics improvements.

We are now looking for a Warehouse Manager (Permanent role) to join our team in Dundalk, County Louth.

Summary Of Role

The Warehouse Manager is responsible for the overall management and performance of the warehouse operations. This includes ensuring compliance with H&S, GMP, customer requirements, and company policies and procedures.

The role demands strong leadership to oversee warehouse functions, maintain audit readiness, manage inventory accuracy, and support continuous improvement initiatives.

The Warehouse Manager will work closely with internal departments to optimise warehouse performance and ensure that all processes align with business needs and regulatory standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage the performance of all warehouse functions, ensuring compliance with H&S, GMP, Customer Requirements, and PCI Policies & Procedures.
  • Oversee accurate and timely documentation in line with GDP (Good Documentation Practices), ensuring records are complete, accurate, and easily retrievable for audits.
  • Maintain the warehouse in an audit-ready state for both customer and regulatory inspections, acting as the Subject Matter Expert (SME) for warehouse visits.
  • Collaborate with Planning, Production, and QA teams to ensure production kits are available on time and in full across all shift patterns.
  • Oversee stock management, including cycle counting, inventory consumption reporting, analysis and obsolescence management.
  • Design, implement, and monitor critical Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for warehouse functions, continuously evaluating performance.
  • Identify resourcing and training gaps, developing and implementing corrective plans effectively.
  • Manage customer-driven changes, ensuring full and timely implementation in warehouse processes.
  • Liaise with external logistics providers and suppliers to ensure adherence to delivery timelines, quality standards, and GMP requirements.
  • Implement and maintain procedures for the handling and storage of temperature-sensitive or hazardous materials.
  • Conduct risk assessments related to warehousing and materials handling, implementing mitigation strategies to prevent non-compliance or safety incidents.
  • Continuously assess warehouse layout and storage solutions to enhance efficiency, safety, and compliance.
  • Investigate warehouse-related deviations or non-conformances, implement CAPA, and follow up to ensure resolution and compliance.
  • Lead warehouse projects from initiation to closure, including resource management, planning, prioritisation, and progress reporting.
  • Act as the SME for JDE, supporting logistics and materials management, and driving future improvements and upgrades.
  • Work alongside the Continuous Improvement team to promote operational excellence within PCI Ireland, focusing on warehouse functions.
  • Ensure accurate and timely processing of goods inwards, dispatches, picking, and returns, following Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
  • Ensure waste disposal, recycling, and sustainability practices align with environmental regulations and company policies.
  • Maintain high levels of housekeeping within the warehouse, fostering a culture of safety and compliance.
  • Foster clear communication within the team and with other departments, facilitating efficient warehouse operations.
  • Provide ongoing training and development for warehouse staff, ensuring skills are current and applicable.
  • Be available to work outside regular hours as required to support business needs.
Essential
Knowledge / Skills & Experience
  • Bachelor’s Degree, Diploma, or Certificate in logistics, supply chain, or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Minimum of 5 years of warehouse management experience within a GMP or regulated environment.
  • Proven leadership and team management skills.
  • Strong knowledge of H&S regulations and GMP requirements.
  • Proficiency in inventory management, data analysis, and reporting.
  • Experience with ERP systems (e.g., JDE) and warehouse management software.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office products (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
  • Effective problem-solving and troubleshooting skills with a proactive approach.
  • Strong communication, organizational, and leadership abilities.
  • Ability to work flexible hours when necessary and manage workload efficiently.
  • Clean driving license and forklift/VNA/counterbalance experience is preferred.
