AstraZeneca is seeking a Warehouse Lead Operator for the permanent night shift at the Athlone site (Monksland). You will coordinate night shift warehouse activities, ensure GMP compliance, and maintain SOPs while supporting quality systems and cross-functional coordination.
Role requires cgMP experience, SAP proficiency, forklift training, and strong communication. This onsite role offers a fast-paced environment with a focus on safety and continuous improvement.
Reports to: Warehouse Supervisor
Location: Monksland, Athlone
Permanent Night Shifts: 8.25 hr. 37.5 hours per week Average Work Week (12x5 Operations)
Sunday to Friday (Sunday 23:00-07:00, Monday to Friday 22:45-07:00 to allow for shift handover)
The Warehouse Lead is responsible for coordinating the day-to-day warehouse activities at the Athlone facility. This role ensures that all warehouse operations are completed according to approved Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), in a safe manner, and in compliance with current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP). The Warehouse Lead provides operational direction to night shift warehouse personnel, supports schedule adherence, and acts as a key point of escalation for warehouse activities during night shift operations.
This position is expected to represent Alexion Pharmaceutical interests, objectives and policies in a professional and responsible manner while supporting operational readiness, GMP compliance, safety standards and effective communication between the night shift team, Warehouse Supervisor and relevant cross-functional partners.
