Job summary

TJ O' Mahony operates from Gort, Co Galway, and is seeking a Full-Time Temporary Warehouse / Yard Operative to join the team. The role covers order picking, loading/unloading, stock handling, and occasional van deliveries to customers.

Hours are 40 per week, Monday to Saturday, with health and safety at the core of daily duties. This is a 2-3 month contract with equal opportunity employment.

Qualifications

• Experience in warehouse operations and order fulfilment.
• Ability to operate forklift equipment safely and efficiently.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Full driving licence required.

Responsibilities

• Pick and complete sales orders and wrap deliveries.
• Unload, record and store stock deliveries.
• Ensure health and safety standards are followed.
• Load and unload lorries safely.
• Move and stack materials and use proper manual handling.
• Perform general warehouse duties to maintain operations.
• Check that product packs are sealed and labelled correctly.
• Deliver products to customers by van when required.

Job Purpose: Warehouse Operative.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Pick and complete sales orders, wrap deliveries, complete warehouse paperwork for each dispatch.
• Unload, record and put away of stocks and deliveries
• Ensure all Health and Safety standards are always adhered to in line with Company policy.
• Load and unload lorries in a safe and efficient manner
• Move and stack materials
• Using correct manual handling techniques.
• Perform general warehouse duties in order to maintain a smooth operation
• Checking that finished product packs are closed/sealed properly and that labels are in the correct position
• Delivering product to customers by van may also be a requirement of the position

Requirements:

• Good communication and interpersonal skills
• Computer Skills
• Friendly, helpful attitude
• Have full reach and counterbalance forklift licences
• Must have held / hold a Drivers Licence

This is a 2-3 month Contract

Hours: 40 hours per week (Monday - Saturday)
