Job summary

Pod Furniture is seeking a reliable, hands-on Warehouse Operative to join our team. You will move stock, operate a forklift, load and unload deliveries, and ensure orders go out safely and on time while providing excellent customer service.

You will liaise with customers, maintain stock records, keep the warehouse tidy, and follow health and safety procedures. A flexible 2–3 day week is offered with on-site work and parking.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years' experience in a warehouse or similar operational environment.
• Valid forklift licence / certification.
• Current manual handling training certificate.
• Full, clean driving licence (Category B).
• Flexibility to work flexible hours as operational needs require.
• Physically fit and able to carry out manual work, including lifting.
• 2 - 3 day working week with flexible hours to suit business needs.

Responsibilities

• Operate a forklift to move, stack, and store palletised furniture stock safely.
• Loading and unloading delivery vehicles, including articulated trucks.
• Picking, packing, and preparing customer orders.
• Receiving and checking incoming deliveries against paperwork.
• Maintaining accurate stock records and keeping the warehouse clean, tidy, and organised.
• Following all health, safety, and manual handling procedures.
