Job summary

EFOR Group in Waterford, Ireland, is hiring a Visual Inspection Consultant to join a global pharmaceutical manufacturer onsite. Qualifications

• Ownership of VI SOPs, defect libraries, AQL sampling and inspector qualification.

Now Hiring: Visual Inspection Consultant – Sterile Injectables (Waterford, Ireland | Onsite)

Can you look at a defect library and see straight away where the gaps are? EFOR Group, a trusted Life Sciences consulting partner, is looking for an experienced Visual Inspection (VI) Consultant to join a global pharmaceutical manufacturer in Waterford. The role is part of a network-wide initiative to strengthen and standardise visual inspection of parenteral products. You’ll be the site’s VI expert, bringing practices, procedures and rationales in line with corporate standards.

What you’ll do:

• Review the site’s manual, semi-automated and automated visual inspection practices against corporate standards
• Update site and corporate VI SOPs and write technical rationales to GxP standards
• Support defect library management, AQL approaches and inspector qualification programmes
• Work closely with the site’s Quality and Production teams to follow up action plans
• Act as a subject-matter expert on particle management
• Influence and guide stakeholders to embed lasting improvements in VI practice

Your background:

• Degree in Science or Engineering
• 5+ years in visual inspection within parenteral (sterile/injectable) manufacturing
• Hands-on experience with manual, semi-automated and/or automated inspection
• Strong knowledge of USP <790>/<1790>, Ph. Eur. 2.9.20 and EU GMP Annex 1 expectations
• Proven ownership of VI SOPs, defect libraries, AQL sampling and inspector qualification
• Excellent technical writer, able to produce clear, defensible GxP rationales
• Autonomous on site and confident influencing Production and QA
