Job summary

AbbVie is recruiting Packaging Operators to join our diverse team in Westport on a short-term contract. You will operate high-speed equipment for manual and/or automated assembly and packaging of pharmaceutical products, ensuring quality and safety standards.

Flexibility around shift patterns is essential, with weekday night shifts and 12-hour weekend shifts that rotate between days and nights. Applicants should indicate their preferred shift pattern when applying.

Qualifications

  • Leaving cert or equivalent qualification required.
  • Knowledge of computer systems desirable but not essential
  • Ability to build strong relationships and work within cross-functional teams.
  • Strong communication and presentations skills, both written and oral.
  • Aptitude to Plan & Organise work schedules with an analytical mindset.
  • Good decision making to identify and understand issues, problems and opportunities whilst providing a viable solution.
  • Adaptability to work in a fast, dynamic environment whilst adjusting readily to meet unexpected constraints.
  • Drive, high energy, maturity, and ability to work under pressure, deliver results, and overcome obstacles.
  • Team player who can collaborate with others to achieve organizational targets and goals.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain a clean and organized work area during and at the end of each shift.
  • Assist AbbVie in achieving environmental, health, and safety goals by working safely and observing all general plant and department safety policies.
  • Report safety issues and raise observations on the e-achieve system.
  • Completion of batch ID coding in accordance with SOP’s.
  • Complete final visual inspection of R&D, NPI and commercial biologic parenteral products
  • Conduct in-process quality control checks in accordance with SOP’s.
  • Complete Line Clearance, reconciliation and sample procurement in accordance with SOPs and cGMPs.
  • Perform all assigned duties according to departmental SOP's and cGMP's.
  • Remain current on proper procedures by reviewing current, revised, and new SOP's relating to the job and to the department.
  • Complete and remain current with all required cGMP and safety training.
  • Perform tasks in intermediate packaging of product to provide on-time delivery to customers.
  • Complete all required documentation associated with visual inspection and packaging of product.
  • Perform inspection tasks to provide on-time delivery to customers.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Key Activities:
