Job description

A well-regarded veterinary group in South County Dublin is seeking a confident and experienced Veterinary Surgeon to cover a maternity leave. This is a full-time, specific purpose contract for approximately 12 months, working 38.5 hours over 4 days, with a 1 in 2 weekend requirement. No out-of-hours or on-call duties are involved.

The role offers a full-time equivalent salary of 60,000, plus a bonus and a comprehensive benefits package. The position is set to begin in May 2025.

In this role, you'll be responsible for conducting general consultations and performing a range of general surgeries, including neutering, dentals, and emergency procedures. You'll manage a busy and varied caseload within a dynamic small animal practice, consistently delivering high standards of patient care. This opportunity is perfect for a veterinarian who thrives in a fast-paced setting and is comfortable independently managing diverse clinical cases.

The ideal candidate will be registered with the Veterinary Council of Ireland (VCI) and possess strong clinical skills in consultation, surgery, and case management. They should be fully competent in performing routine surgeries such as spays, castrations, lump removals, and wound repairs with minimal need for support.
