Job summary

Beechwood Veterinary Clinic in Dublin is seeking a dedicated Veterinary Nurse to join a busy small animal practice. You will be involved in all aspects of nursing care, from inpatient care to anaesthesia monitoring, nurse consultations and client education, with the chance to utilise and develop your full nursing skillset.

This role offers genuine responsibility and autonomy, with a mix of shifts and a Saturday rota.

Qualifications

• Registration with the Veterinary Council of Ireland (VCI) or eligibility to register in 2026.
• Excellent communication and client care skills.
• Strong organisational abilities and attention to detail.
• Positive and proactive attitude.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Ability to manage a varied caseload and prioritise tasks.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care in a modern small animal practice.
• Inpatient care and anaesthesia monitoring, nurse consultations, and client education.
• Utilise and develop full nursing skills with experienced surgeons and support staff.
• Occasionally act as the sole Veterinary Nurse on duty.
• Collaborate with the veterinary team to ensure high standards of patient care.
