Job summary

Bright Motor Group in Ireland is recruiting a qualified Motor Vehicle Technician for our Airside dealership to diagnose, service and repair vehicles to a high standard.

You will communicate with customers, coordinate with service teams, and support apprentice development while striving for first-time fixes and targets.

Experience with Volkswagen brands is highly desirable; a full Irish/EU driving licence is required, with training opportunities offered.

Qualifications

• Qualified motor technician with franchised dealership experience preferred.
• Full Irish/EU driving licence is required.
• Experience working in a franchised dealership.
• Strong interpersonal and customer service skills.
• Ability to mentor and coach apprentices.

Responsibilities

• Service and repair vehicles.
• Utilise diagnostic knowledge to carry out diagnostic work.
• Complete vehicle health checks and report findings to customers.
• Follow Workshop procedures using the DMS to record time and work.
• Organise daily work schedule with Service Reception and other staff.
• Identify parts requirements and communicate with Parts through DMS.
• Ensure quality and a first-time fix.
• Discuss vehicle condition and repairs with customers as needed.
• Carry out road tests before and after work.
