Job summary

National Vehicle Distribution in Dublin, Ireland, is seeking an experienced Vehicle Prepper to join our team. The successful candidate will prepare vehicles for priming and painting after panel repairs, ensuring surfaces are flawlessly prepped for our spray painters.

You will apply primers and seam sealer, sand and mask surfaces, and work closely with panel beaters to maintain quality and efficiency. A strong eye for detail and good communication skills are essential in our safety-conscious

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Vehicle Prepper in a professional auto body shop.
• Strong knowledge of vehicle body repair and preparation techniques.
• Experience with seam sealer and waterproofing applications is essential.
• Skilled with tools and equipment for high-quality prep work.
• Attention to detail and commitment to excellent finishes.
• Ability to work well in a team-oriented environment.

Responsibilities

• Assess and repair vehicle bodies post-collision for priming and painting.
• Apply primer to repaired surfaces for proper painting prep.
• Sand, mask, and prep surfaces to a fine finish.
• Apply seam sealer to ensure waterproofing.
• Ensure vehicles are clean, masked and ready for spray painters.
• Collaborate with panel beaters and spray painters for workflow.
• Maintain a clean, safe work environment per health and safety standards.
• Manage supplies and equipment for prepping, including inventory.

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Vehicle Prepper to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing vehicles for the painting process after they have been repaired by our panel beaters. This role is crucial in ensuring that the surface of each vehicle is flawlessly prepped and primed, making it ready for the final paint application by our spray painters.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Vehicle Prepper in a professional auto body shop.
• Strong knowledge of vehicle body repair and preparation techniques.
• Experience with seam sealer and other waterproofing applications is essential.

• Ensure that vehicles are clean, masked, and 'gun ready' for spray painters.
• Collaborate closely with panel beaters and spray painters to ensure smooth workflow and quality control.
• Maintain a clean and orderly work environment in compliance with health and safety standards.
• Manage supplies and equipment related to the prepping process, including inventory tracking and reordering as necessary.
