Job summary

Unum Technology Centre in Ireland seeks a Director of Value Stream Data & Analytics to define and lead the end-to-end analytics strategy for a value stream. You will establish KPI frameworks, govern data standards, and shape roadmaps.

You will lead a high-performing analytics team and partner with Value Stream leaders, Product, Finance, and Enablement to drive measurable business value.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree preferred, and/or equivalent experience.
• 7+ years experience in a related data analytics field.
• Proficient in analytics programming languages (SQL/R/Python).
• Demonstrated expertise with modern BI toolsets (Tableau, Alteryx, Power BI).
• Understanding of data profiling, statistical analysis and data modeling concepts.
• Proficient in extracting data from data warehouse, transactional databases, object stores & API environments.
• Ability to translate business needs into technical solutions.
• Ability to adapt to change and drive practical results.

Responsibilities

• Own the value stream analytics strategy and define performance, outcomes, and value measures across the end-to-end value stream.
• Establish and govern KPI frameworks with enterprise-aligned definitions of success and value realization.
• Influence prioritization and investments by providing insights and scenarios shaping roadmap decisions.
• Lead value measurement and impact assessments tying pilots and initiatives to financial and operational outcomes.
• Set data and analytics standards, including data quality and reporting approaches.
• Build analytics capability by mentoring analysts and strengthening data maturity within the value stream.
• Champion a data-driven culture and explore advanced analytics and emerging tools.
