Job summary

MSD Ireland in Dundalk is seeking an Operations Technician to join our vaccines manufacturing site, a fast-growing unit focused on drug substance and product operations under strict GMP controls.

You will participate in DS/DP production, utilising single-use tech, and support quality systems, lean tools, and continuous improvement. The role emphasizes safety, right-first-time performance, and team development.

Qualifications

• Certificate, Diploma, Degree, Trade qualification, or equivalent demonstrated experience of 12 months or more in a regulated environment, GMP environment.
• Knowledge and experience of cGMP, safety, and environmental regulations within biopharma.
• Experience with real-time recording in electronic or manual systems.
• Experience following SOPs, Batch Records, and Manufacturing Controls Systems.
• Experience in the biopharmaceutical industry.
• Experience in Grade C, D, and CNC environments.

Responsibilities

• Manufacture drug substance through inoculation, cell expansion, and bioreactor activities with single-use tech.
• Set up single-use equipment between runs and follow GMP/EHS guidelines.
• Perform DS DSP, USP and buffer/media preparation operations.
• Adhere to SOPs and batch records in production areas.
• Train and mentor colleagues in SOPs, process execution, and equipment operation.
