Job summary

European Tech Recruit in Cork is seeking a UX Frontend Systems Software Engineer to join a leading semiconductor company. You will develop software tools and user interfaces supporting sensor technology research, development, and workflow validation.

Responsibilities include coding in MATLAB and Python with C/C++, designing MVC and event-driven interfaces, building data visualizations, integrating frontend with backend processing, and collaborating with customers and vendors.

Qualifications

• Proficient in MATLAB and Python with exposure to modern C/C++ standards.
• Experience with unit testing and Google Test for software validation.
• Familiar with OO programming in C++, MATLAB, Python, or Java.
• Knowledge of Model-View-Controller, event-driven, and component-based architectures.

Responsibilities

• Coding in MATLAB and Python, with familiarity with modern C and C++ standards, and unit testing and system testing using modern frameworks like Google Test.
• Architecting and implementing software frameworks and tools following established software design patterns including Model-View-Controller, event-driven programming, and component-based architectures on a variety of platforms.
• Familiarity with Object Oriented Programming in any of the following languages: C++ / MATLAB / Python / Java.
• Designing and implementing data visualization interfaces and dashboards supporting engineering analysis and decision making.
• Integrating frontend components with backend data processing services, managing inter-language interfaces and data exchange between tool layers.
• Balancing engineering tradeoffs between performance, memory, power consumption, and computational complexity.
• Using your familiarity with SOC architecture, assist in the design of SOC hardware models and related tools.
• New technology demonstrations, interfacing with customers and sensor vendors, and partnering with internal and external teams.
