Job description

Sprintax is seeking a talented UX Designer to join our growing UX team and help deliver intuitive, user-centred experiences for ourDividendsproduct — an ambitious growth opportunity in the fintech space. You’ll work closely with product leadership and our Senior Product Designer to design end-to-end experiences for complex tax workflows.

This role involves designing for multiple user types across detailed financial processes. You’ll collaborate directly with product managers, engineering teams, tax experts, support, and customers to create intuitive solutions for inherently complex regulatory requirements.

Why us?

  • Play a key role in shaping the UX of Sprintax’s fastest-growing product.
  • Work in a collaborative, cross-functional environment with exposure to product strategy.
  • Help solve challenging design problems in a domain where usability directly impacts customer outcomes.

Product Design & Delivery

  • Collaborate on the UX design of Dividends product features and improvements.
  • Develop wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity designs from concept to implementation.
  • Design clear, user-friendly multi-step workflows for tax relief processes and document generation.
  • Create usable interfaces for data-heavy forms, file uploads, and financial calculations.

User Research & Validation

  • Work with sales, support, operations, and tax experts to gather and interpret user feedback.
  • Analyse user behaviour to inform iterative design improvements.
  • Validate design decisions through usability testing, data insights, and direct user feedback.
  • Conduct interviews and testing with intermediaries, corporate admins, and individual claimants.

Collaboration & Implementation

  • Partner with engineering to ensure smooth design implementation and handoff.
  • Translate business and compliance requirements into user-friendly solutions.
  • Collaborate with tax SMEs to ensure regulatory accuracy in user flows.
  • Contribute to and help evolve the product design system.

Impact on Business Outcomes

  • Focus on improving user journey efficiency, increasing application completion rates, and reducing errors in document submission.
  • Contribute to measurable improvements in lead times and product adoption.

Skills & Experience

Must Have

  • Must be resident in Ireland or Bulgaria with rights to live & work.
  • 2+ years’ experience in UX, product management, or related digital product role — ideally with exposure to workflow-heavy systems or data-driven interfaces.
  • Strong problem-solving mindset and ability to think through complex user journeys.
  • Understanding of Figma or similar design tools.
  • Familiarity with front-end development constraints and design system principles.
  • Strong communication skills, able to explain design decisions clearly to varied stakeholders.
  • Experience working closely with engineering during product delivery.

Nice to Have

  • Knowledge of Sprintax products or dividend tax workflows a significant advantage.
  • Experience with financial services, compliance-heavy, or regulatory products.
  • Understanding of form design best practices and accessibility principles.
  • Background in usability testing and user research methods.
  • Awareness of AI prototyping tools and how they can be applied in UX.
  • Basic knowledge of HTML/CSS and design-to-development handoff processes.
