Ernst & Young (EY) is seeking a Manager/Senior Manager for UKI Technology Consulting in Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES) based in Dublin. You will lead MES transformations, shape digital manufacturing strategies and manage cross-functional teams across global engagements.

The role focuses on delivery excellence, client relationships, and business growth within Technology Consulting, Supply Chain & Operations, and Digital Manufacturing.

Qualifications

• Relevant experience in MES, manufacturing technology or digital transformation; 8–12 years for Manager level and 12+ years for Senior Manager level.
• Strong track record leading MES programmes and enterprise-scale transformation.
• Deep understanding of pharmaceutical or regulated manufacturing processes and quality systems.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end MES programmes, assessments and transformation engagements across multi-site programmes.
• Define and shape MES and digital manufacturing strategies, operating models and deployment roadmaps.

The Team and the opportunity

The Manager / Senior Manager will be a member of the Technology Consulting team, which undertakes the design, implementation and commissioning of projects and services. The successful candidate may support one or more engagements and will lead MES transformations, with responsibility for delivery excellence, client relationships, team leadership and business growth. The scope and level of responsibility will reflect whether the appointment is made at Manager or Senior Manager level.

You will play a key role in developing and strengthening client relationships and helping clients navigate complex business and technology challenges. As part of this growing team, you will also help shape the innovative culture that makes EY a great place to work.

Your key responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end MES programmes, assessments and transformation engagements, including complex and business-critical programmes.
• Define and shape MES and digital manufacturing strategies, operating models, investment decisions and deployment roadmaps.
• Lead multidisciplinary and global teams across functional, technical and validation workstreams, including multi-site programmes.
• Build trusted relationships with manufacturing, quality and senior executive stakeholders, acting as a strategic advisor.
• Lead programme governance, engagement economics, financial management and delivery quality across one or more engagements.
• Lead proposal development, pursuit activities, solution development and account growth initiatives.
• Develop market offerings and thought leadership across MES, Smart Manufacturing, Shop Floor Digitalisation and Industry 4.0.
• Develop high-performing teams through coaching, mentoring, recruitment and capability building.

Skills and attributes for successTo qualify for the role, you must have

• Relevant experience in MES, manufacturing technology or digital transformation, typically 8-12 years for Manager level and 12+ years for Senior Manager level.
• A strong track record of leading and delivering MES programmes, with enterprise-scale transformation experience expected at Senior Manager level.
• Deep understanding of pharmaceutical or regulated manufacturing processes, quality systems and regulatory requirements.
• Experience with global template deployments, multi-site rollouts or global programme delivery.
• Strong understanding of Industry 4.0, connected manufacturing and digital operations.
• Experience managing engagement economics and commercial performance; proven business development and sales experience is expected at Senior Manager level.
• Strong client relationship skills, with the ability to influence senior manufacturing stakeholders and executive leaders.

Ideally, you will also have

• Project Management - Provide relevant stakeholders with clear information on resource requirements, progress, dependencies and areas of risk.
• Consulting experience - Build trusted client relationships and lead complex business and digital transformation initiatives.
• People management - Lead and develop high-performing teams, providing coaching, mentoring and performance support.
• Communication and stakeholder management - Deliver executive-level presentations, status updates and decision-making materials, and influence senior stakeholders through concise reporting and strategic recommendations.
• Sector knowledge - Experience or an established network across Life Sciences, MedTech or Advanced Manufacturing, particularly for Senior Manager level.
