Job summary

EY Ireland is recruiting a senior Solution/Platform Architect within Technology Strategy & Transformation. You will lead architecture decisions, guide platform selection, and ensure alignment with enterprise strategy while working across ERP, CRM, ITSM, and integration domains.

You will partner with sponsors and leadership, translate business needs into technical designs, and mentor teams to deliver high-impact technology programs.

Qualifications

• Minimum 7 years of experience with 3+ years as a solution architect or platform architect.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate with stakeholders at all levels.
• Ability to work effectively as a team member and manage progress.

Responsibilities

• Act as a trusted advisor to programme sponsors and technology leadership.

• Translate business requirements into technical specifications ensuring architecture decisions align with enterprise strategy.

• Produce architecture artefacts including solution blueprints and diagrams.

The team and the opportunity

Our Technology Strategy & Transformation team specialises in supporting our clients on business and digital enablement through technology strategy, architecture and advisory services. Technology Strategy & Transformation operates within a global and EMEIA network across EY and provides C-Suites with insight and services to support the derivation of business value from technology investments. Our services cover the entire spectrum from strategy development to architecture and solution design through to execution. Our clients are facing a future of massive disruption driven by rapid market shifts, regulatory change, customer expectations, new competition and technology innovation. Your Key Responsibilities

• Act as a trusted advisor to programme sponsors and technology leadership.
• Provide architecture leadership across enterprise applications platforms like ERP, CRM, ITSM, integration (Oracle, MS Dynamics, Infor, Kraken, Salesforce etc) and /or related platforms.
• Collaborating with stakeholders to understand business, functional and non-functional requirements, translating them into technical specifications ensuring architecture decisions align with enterprise strategy, digital roadmap, and operating model.
• Guide platform selection, implementation strategy, migration approaches and integration models.
• Ensure configuration and customisation decisions minimise technical debt and preserve upgradeability.
• Ensure alignment with enterprise architecture principles, business capability models, and technology standards.
• Define logical, application, integration, data, and deployment architectures.
• Produce high-quality architecture artefacts including solution blueprints, integration diagrams, deployment views, and architecture decision records.
• Build strong internal relationships within EY Technology Consulting and across the other service lines we work with and support. Support the growth of the practice through development of relevant industry and technology Thought Leadership material.
• Ensure and adhere compliance to EY quality and risk management processes across projects and other interactions.

Skills And Attributes For Success

To qualify for the role, you must have:

• An undergraduate or graduate degree
• A minimum of 7 years of experience with 3+ years as a solution architect, platform architect or in a similar role.
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
• Work effectively as a team member, sharing responsibility, providing support, maintaining communication with team members and leadership on progress.

Ideally, you will also have:

• Solution Architecture Experience in one or more of below:
  • Business applications like ERP, CRM, ITSM, Billing, Clinical/Health Administration Systems (Oracle, MS Dynamics, Salesforce, Kraken, Infor, Deltek, Workday etc),
  • Data and API integration technologies inclusive of designing and implementing integrations in complex environments, architecture patterns (Microservices, SOA etc) and design principles
• Experience in creating and maintaining comprehensive documentation of architectural designs, technical specifications, and implementation guidelines.
• Good understanding of Information Security Governance, principles and technical techniques to protect information systems
• Good understanding of Cloud concepts and cloud-based technology e.g Azure, AWS
• Relevant certifications across different platforms such as AWS, TOGAF, Azure or related PM certifications – Agile, Scrum, ITIL certification.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to evaluate complex technology challenges and develop innovative solutions.
• Ability to use effective written and verbal business communication skills when interacting with clients and team members.
