Job summary

Cpl Healthcare is recruiting on behalf of a residential care provider in Ireland for a Social Care Team Leader to support separated children seeking international protection. The role involves leading shifts, mentoring staff, and ensuring a safe, trauma-informed environment for young people.

The successful candidate will oversee care planning, safeguarding, and HIQA compliance, while driving service development and quality improvements within a dedicated, child-centred team.

Qualifications

• Recognised Social Care qualification.
• CORU registration as a Social Care Worker.
• Minimum 2 years' experience in residential care or similar.
• Full driving licence and eligibility to work in Ireland.
• Satisfactory Garda Vetting.

Responsibilities

• Lead shifts and support day-to-day operation of the service.
• Promote safe, child-centred and trauma-informed practice.
• Support, supervise and mentor Social Care Workers.
• Oversee care planning, risk management and record keeping.
• Build positive relationships with external professionals and stakeholders.
• Ensure compliance with HIQA standards, safeguarding requirements and organisational policies.
• Contribute to service development and quality improvement initiatives.
