Transaction Risk Analyst

We are seeking a motivated and analytically driven Risk Analyst to join our dynamic risk management team. This role is ideal for someone with a passion for the crypto industry, a talent for interpreting data, and a keen interest in risk assessment and fraud prevention. As a Risk Analyst at Coinme, you will assist in monitoring and analyzing risks associated with cryptocurrency transactions and developing strategies to mitigate potential threats. This role is perfect for someone who thrives on digging into data and uncovering actionable insights.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the development and implementation of risk management policies and protocols.
  • Conduct transactional analysis to identify patterns indicative of fraudulent activity.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance security measures and fraud detection technologies.
  • Leverage data analytics to build clear, insightful, and consistent reporting practices.
  • Work with data to build out consistent reporting practices.
  • Partner with Operations to ensure efficient and effective resolution for user escalations related to risk or fraud.
  • Participate in the ongoing review of compliance with all regulatory requirements.
  • Work with Customer Operations to ensure a smooth escalation flow for users who experience friction.
  • Chargeback and Dispute management and mitigation.
  • Support the Risk Manager in handling chargebacks and disputes.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
  • 2+ years of experience in risk analysis, preferably in fintech or crypto.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Highly proficient in data analytics and passionate about translating data into actionable business insights.
  • Proficient in data analysis tools and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • Passion for and basic understanding of cryptocurrency and blockchain technology.
  • Familiarity with multiple types of fraud
  • Comfortable working autonomously, proactively, and efficiently in a fast-paced environment
  • Familiarity with pay rails such as Debit, ACH, FedNow

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with Sardine, SIFT, SEON or similar fraud detection tools.
  • Knowledge of regulatory compliance in the cryptocurrency industry.
  • Familiar with PowerBI or another data visualization tool to effectively communicate findings.

This is a fully remote position. Must be willing to work some overlap between Eastern Time Zone. English is our global team's common language, so strong verbal and written communication skills in English are required.
