Job summary

Kirby Group Engineering is seeking a Graduate Electrical Commissioning Engineer to join our growing engineering team in Ireland. This is an excellent opportunity for a recent graduate to begin their career by working on cutting-edge electrical systems across a range of projects.

You will play a key role in ensuring electrical systems are tested, validated, and fully operational before handover, gaining hands-on experience while working alongside experienced engineers on exciting projects.

Qualifications

• Degree-qualified in Electrical Engineering or related discipline.
• Strong problem-solving and attention to detail.
• Keen interest in commissioning, testing, and hands-on engineering work.
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
• Familiarity with safety regulations and industry standards.

Responsibilities

• Assist with commissioning, testing, and validation of electrical systems and equipment.
• Support troubleshooting and fault-finding on electrical installations.
• Participate in FAT and SAT testing activities.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company procedures.
• Prepare commissioning documentation and technical records.
• Collaborate with design, project and installation teams for seamless delivery.
• Support continuous improvement of engineering and commissioning processes.

As part of our commissioning team, you will play a key role in ensuring electrical systems are tested, validated, and fully operational before handover. You will gain hands‑on experience while working alongside experienced engineers on exciting projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist with the commissioning, testing, and validation of electrical systems and equipment
• Support troubleshooting and fault‑finding on electrical installations
• Participate in Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT) and Site Acceptance Tests (SAT)
• Ensure compliance with relevant industry standards, safety regulations, and company procedures
• Prepare commissioning documentation, reports, and technical records
• Collaborate with design, project, and installation teams to ensure seamless project delivery
• Support continuous improvement initiatives across engineering and commissioning processes

About You
