Job summary

Kirby Group Engineering is seeking a Graduate Electrical Commissioning Engineer to join our growing team in Ireland. You will work on cutting-edge electrical systems across a range of projects, gaining hands-on experience as part of a dedicated commissioning team.

You will assist with commissioning, testing and validation, join FAT and SAT activities, and collaborate with design and installation teams to ensure safe, on-time delivery.

Qualifications

• Degree-qualified in Electrical Engineering or related discipline.
• Strong understanding of electrical principles.
• Keen interest in commissioning, testing, and hands-on engineering work.

Responsibilities

• Assist with the commissioning, testing, and validation of electrical systems and equipment.
• Support troubleshooting and fault-finding on electrical installations.
• Participate in FAT and SAT.
• Ensure compliance with relevant standards, safety regulations and procedures.
• Prepare commissioning documentation, reports and technical records.
• Collaborate with design, project and installation teams to ensure project delivery.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives across engineering and commissioning processes.

About The Role

As part of our commissioning team, you will play a key role in ensuring electrical systems are tested, validated, and fully operational before handover. You will gain hands‑on experience while working alongside experienced engineers on exciting projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist with the commissioning, testing, and validation of electrical systems and equipment
• Support troubleshooting and fault‑finding on electrical installations
• Participate in Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT) and Site Acceptance Tests (SAT)
• Ensure compliance with relevant industry standards, safety regulations, and company procedures
• Prepare commissioning documentation, reports, and technical records
• Collaborate with design, project, and installation teams to ensure seamless project delivery
• Support continuous improvement initiatives across engineering and commissioning processes

About You

• Degree‑qualified in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline
• Strong understanding of electrical principles and systems
• Keen interest in commissioning, testing, and hands‑on engineering work
• Excellent problem‑solving skills and attention to detail
• Strong communication and teamwork abilities
