Zurich Life Assurance Plc is seeking a Trainee Accountant to join the Unit Pricing team within the Investment Back Office of the Finance Function. The team’s main responsibility is to ensure accurate daily valuation of Zurich’s unit-linked funds and proper management of policyholder cashflows.
This role can be part-time or full-time, depending on the candidate's availability. We are flexible and open to discussing your needs during the interview process.
The position is a “Controlled Function (CF)” under the Central Bank Reform Act, 2010. Employment is conditional upon meeting the Central Bank Fitness and Probity Standards and possessing relevant qualifications from an MCC perspective.
You will work as part of the Unit Pricing team, supporting the timely delivery of daily and monthly unit pricing tasks and assisting with projects such as fund launches and closures. You will also gain exposure to other teams within the Investment Back Office, including Investment Accounts, Settlements, Investment Compliance, and Self-Directed.
Key responsibilities include:
- A third-level qualification in finance, accounting, mathematics, or related fields
- Part-qualified accountant or willingness to pursue ACA, ACCA, or CIMA
- Strong Microsoft Office skills
- Excellent communication skills
- Financial services experience is advantageous
- Well-organized, self-motivated, and deadline-oriented
- Attention to detail and numeracy skills
- Confident communicator and team player, able to work independently
- Analytical and problem-solving skills
- Adaptable and customer-focused
The primary work location is Blackrock, Dublin. This hybrid role requires 2-3 days in the office per week.
