Job summary

Susquehanna International, based in Dublin, seeks a hands-on production engineer/SRE to support US overnight and pre-market operations. You will investigate incidents across complex trading platforms, implement automation, and improve observability with a global follow-the-sun model.

On-site role with occasional US travel as needed. The ideal candidate has 2+ years in production engineering or SRE, strong debugging skills, and experience with Python and monitoring tools.

Qualifications

• Two years+ of production engineering, site reliability engineering or equivalent.
• Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills with logs and system behaviour.

Responsibilities

• Provide first-line engineering support for live trading environments and US overnight/pre-market readiness.
• Diagnose incidents across application, OS, network and database layers; mitigate or resolve issues with permissions and stakeholders.
• Build and maintain automation, monitoring and tooling to improve reliability and reduce manual work.
• Configure, deploy and operate proprietary trading applications using controlled release and rollback procedures.
• Coordinate and standardise follow-the-sun practices across regions; manage escalations and handoffs.
• Review incidents to identify causes and drive corrective actions to completion.
• Create runbooks and recovery procedures; share knowledge across regions.
