Job summary

Musgrave is seeking a Finance Trading Analyst to join the Cork-based Trading team. The role focuses on supporting the category with governance, financial reporting, and insightful analysis to drive targets within a dynamic, fast-paced environment.

You will contribute to budgets, forecasts, and monthly category reviews, while collaborating with cross-functional teams to identify value opportunities and improvements.

Qualifications

• Be a qualified accountant with a minimum of 3 years experience.
• A general business qualification would be an advantage.
• The ideal candidate will be highly numeric & analytical.
• A strong systems orientation including advanced Excel skills.
• The ideal candidate should be a self-starter, with the ability to operate in a dynamic environment, demonstrate good attention to detail, good judgment showing logical decision making, with a proven ability to influence at a senior level in the organization.

Responsibilities

• Ensure governance systems and internal controls are implemented and maintained.
• Provide financial reporting and analysis of Sales, Income and Margin for the category.
• Investigate variances and add value with insights and commentary.
• Prepare and present annual budgets and quarterly forecasts for the category.
• Support category trading initiatives, trials, and business initiatives.
• Assist with income-generating initiatives and supplier meetings.
• Support cross-functional projects as required.
• Undertake ad-hoc analysis as required.
