Job summary

Virtu Financial in Dublin seeks an Operations Analyst to manage trade clearance, settlement and reconciliation across desks. You will work with traders, finance, compliance, brokers and custodians to ensure timely settlements and accurate records.

The role offers growth through collaboration with software engineers to automate workflows and enable trading in new markets and asset classes, ideal for those starting or growing a career in finance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required; specialisation in math, computer science, business, finance or related disciplines.
• Experience with VBA, SQL and/or scripting (i.e. Python) preferred.
• Experience in operations, trade support, consultancy, or related experience is advantageous.
• Ambitious and self-motivated, with the ability to use own initiative.
• Excellent problem solving and analytical skills; including effective troubleshooting in a fast paced, time critical environment.
• Strong communication (verbal and written), and excellent organisational skills are essential.

Responsibilities

• Manage clearance, settlement, and reconciliation of trades and positions for trade desks across the firm.
• Collaborate with traders, finance, compliance, brokers, custodians, and clients to ensure timely settlement.
• Work with software engineers to automate and enhance operations workflows and expand markets and assets.
• Develop data analysis and contribute to architecture of new systems and controls.
