Job summary

Howdens Joinery Limited is hiring a Business Developer to grow local depot sales by speaking with customers face to face and on the phone, introducing new trade customers, and nurturing existing accounts. You will generate leads, arrange appointments and keep the pipeline moving to convert conversations into opportunities and sales.

You’ll work with Kitchen Sales Designers and Territory Sales Representatives, helping the depot meet targets and deliver excellent service in a busy team environment.

Qualifications

• Proven ability to generate leads and convert conversations into opportunities.
• Experience in telesales or customer-facing roles.
• Strong relationship-building and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Call existing trade customers to build long-term relationships and grow business.
• Use data to spot inactivity and bring accounts back on track.
• Manage a targeted customer list and achieve daily call activity.
• Promote products, offers and events to keep customers engaged.
• Arrange surveys and appointments for Kitchen Sales Designers.
• Support administration including invoicing and depot tasks.
• Collaborate with the depot team to hit targets and deliver great service.
