Job summary

Smyths Toys is seeking a Sales Assistant in Galway to join a team delivering exceptional customer service in a fast-paced retail environment. The role involves assisting customers, stocking shelves, processing deliveries, and handling tills.

Flexible availability across seven days is preferred to support store operations. The position is temporary with pay rates of €14.25/hour for over 20 hours and €13.00/hour for under 20 hours.

Qualifications

• Retail experience is desirable but not essential.
• Flexibility to work across 7 days a week.
• Interest in Nursery, Software & Gaming, Backdoor/Warehouse is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provide a high level of customer service
• Ascertain customers’ needs and wants
• Work as part of a fast paced and dynamic team
• Keep the store clean and tidy
• Pack shelves and merchandise
• Work delivery and complete price changes
• Work on the tills
• Learn about and keep up to date with our products in order to help customers
