Job Title: Therapy Assistant
CORLANN – WEST REGION
Location: Woodlands Campus, Dublin Rd. Galway
Tenure: Specific Purpose Full time and pensionable linked on a specific purpose basis to new funding.
Remuneration: Department of Health, Health & Social Care Assistant 01/06/2026 - salary scale - € 36,651 x 8 increments - € 45,939 pro-rata per annum.
Purpose of the post: To provide a range of supports to children from 0-18 years of age and their families who are supported by the Network Disability Team, within an interdisciplinary framework and family centred practice.
Reporting Relationship: The post holder will report to the Children’s Disability Network Manager (CNDM)
Qualifications: Candidates must: (i) Possess the relevant Health Service Skills QQI (FETAC) Level 5. Or (ii) Have obtained an equivalent qualification to (i) from another jurisdiction. Or (iii) Be currently employed as a Physiotherapy/ Speech & language Assistant or in a comparable role. And b) Candidates must have the personal competence and capacity to properly discharge the duties of the role.
A full clean Irish driving licence and use of your own car is desirable. A commitment to obtaining a full licence within nine months of commencement is required.
Fluency in verbal and written English an essential requirement of this post.

Working Hours:
Contracted hours of work are liable to change between the hours of 8am – 8pm from Monday to Friday.
A family centred approach to service delivery and the ongoing transformation of the health service will require employees to be flexible in their working hours to provide a quality service delivery for each individual.
The Health Service is undergoing ongoing modernisation and therefore it is critical that a flexible attitude to changing environments and work requirements is held by the successful candidate.
Annual Leave:
A probationary period of nine months from the date of appointment applies to the post. The employment may be terminated at any time during the probationary period should the employer find that the appointee is unsuitable to continue employment. The probation period may be extended at the employer’s discretion.
