Job Title: Non-Functional Test Manager

Location: Dublin (1 day per week onsite)

Contract Duration: 12 months

Overview:

Our client, a leading banking organisation based in Dublin, is seeking a Non-Functional Test Manager to oversee and drive the successful delivery of non-functional testing across multiple projects. This 12-month contract role requires an experienced professional with deep knowledge of performance testing and operational acceptance testing within complex banking or financial environments.

High-Level Requirements:

• 12+ years of experience managing end-to-end testing programmes, with a strong focus on non-functional testing.
• Proven leadership in delivering performance testing and operational acceptance testing.
• Experience working in banking, financial services, or similarly regulated sectors.
• Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
• Demonstrated experience in project governance, planning, and quality assurance.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage the end-to-end non-functional testing (NFT) process across programmes and projects.
• Facilitate testing kick-off meetings and ensure alignment on testing scope and objectives.
• Review project deliverables and track status on a regular basis to ensure successful delivery.
• Collaborate with project managers, technical leads, and architects to maintain alignment with project timelines and standards.
• Communicate progress, achievements, risks, and issues to stakeholders clearly and effectively.
• Create and manage test schedules, cost tracking, and resource allocation.
• Provide regular reports including weekly updates and project closure summaries.
• Define and maintain NFT test estimates and manage test budgets.
• Ensure adherence to Bank testing standards and frameworks in collaboration with NFT architects.
• Participate in project decision governance (PDG) and leadership governance processes.
• Manage project risks, perform quality audits, and ensure continuous improvement of test practices.
• Lead and support the testing team through coaching, mentoring, and issue resolution.
• Provide oversight of test metrics, KPIs, and contribute to ongoing process optimisation.
• Escalate and resolve NFT issues in a timely and structured manner.

Desirable:

• ISTQB Advanced Test Manager or similar certification.
• Experience with enterprise-level NFT tools and platforms.
• Exposure to cloud-based testing environments and automation in performance/OAT testing.
• Working knowledge of test management tools such as JIRA, HP ALM, LoadRunner, or similar.
