Qualifications

• Engineering degree with strong academic record and 2.1 or higher, expected 2026 or later.
• Strong problem-solving and documentation skills are essential.
• Familiarity with Apple hardware/software is advantageous; programming/scripting is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Test process development and automated testing for Apple products.
• Create, test, and maintain factory test software.
• Contribute to continuous improvements and KPIs (Yield, OEE, cycles).
• Provide support to technician and production teams; document work and releases.
• Collaborate with global Test, HW, and SW teams on new projects.

Description

As a participant in our programme, you will initially spend time training with us at our manufacturing centre of excellence in Cork, Ireland, alongside experienced engineering professionals. Here, we will support you with a mix of on-the-job, mentoring, and formal training in a pioneering manufacturing and technical development environment. After this period, you'll be given an opportunity to work on different Apple products, engineering projects, and processes across EMEIA Product Operations, as well as engaging with other Apple global engineering teams.Our programme targets high-performing technical graduates and leverages the extensive manufacturing, development, and operations knowledge of the EMEIA Product Operations team to develop new engineering talent for Apple. The programme is founded on a long-standing track record of achievement of previous graduates who have gone on to make their mark in global Apple engineering roles.

Responsibilities

• Test process development and implementation, including automated product testing.
• Creation, testing, and maintenance of factory test software for Apple products.
• Continuous process improvement and optimisation, driving key performance metrics (Yield, Units Per Hour, Order Cycle Time, Cost, Scrap, DPPM, CPK, etc.).
• Provide direction and support to Technician and Production support teams.
• Documentation creation, review, and release.
• Participate in new projects for global implementation.
• Work closely with Test Engineering, HW, and SW teams worldwide.

Minimum Qualifications

• Minimum B.Eng (Hons.), M.Eng in Electronic/Electrical Engineering (or equivalent third-level engineering qualification), completed in 2026 or later. A minimum of a 2.1 (Hons) degree is required.

Preferred Qualifications

• Hardware design and failure analysis skills.
• Problem-solving, communication, and documentation skills.
• Familiarity with Apple hardware and software technologies.
• Ideally, experience in programming/scripting languages.
• MS Excel, data skills, and experience with statistical analysis.
• Networking knowledge would be advantageous.
