Job summary

BaxterStorey is hiring a Food Service Assistant for term-time delivery/goods-in at St Columba's College, Whitechurch, Dublin 16. Shift pattern is Monday to Friday, 06:30–10:30, 20 hours per week, at a rate of €14.15 per hour.

You will support deliveries, stock control, and breakfast service while maintaining high standards of food safety and service. The role emphasizes teamwork, flexibility, and a positive guest experience in a school environment.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in food service or hospitality industry preferred

Responsibilities

• Accept and check all deliveries
• Correctly store chilled/frozen and ambient produce
• Use the FIFO system of stock control
• Assist the breakfast chefs with ancillary duties
• Operate and maintain kitchen equipment, ensuring cleanliness
• Follow food safety and sanitation procedures to maintain a hygienic work environment
• Assist in food preparation, including washing, cutting, and portioning
• Assist with inventory management and storage of food items and supplies
• Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth kitchen operations and timely service
• Respond promptly and professionally to customer inquiries and concerns
• Participate in cleaning and organizing kitchen and dining areas
• Assist with special events and catering services as required
