Cpl Group is seeking a Temporary Accounts Assistant for a 2-month, part-time assignment in Ireland. The role is on-site and concentrates on payroll support, month-end tasks, and general accounting duties.

The ideal candidate has payroll experience (Sage Payroll with ARW), strong Excel skills (Pivot Tables), and meticulous attention to detail, with the ability to work independently to meet deadlines.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a similar accounts/finance role.
• Payroll experience, ideally Sage Payroll with ARW.
• Strong Excel skills, including Pivot Tables.
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
• Good organisational and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Process and assist with weekly payroll, liaising with HR and the payroll bureau
• Prepare weekly payroll journals
• Prepare monthly journals (Cafe & Bar income, Depreciation/Amortisation)
• Complete balance sheet reconciliations: pensions, PAYE, floats, front of house lodgement, stock, net pay, salary control a/c, salary deductions control a/c
• VAT filing
• Assist with general accounting and finance duties
• Assist with budget templates
• Support month-end processes and reporting
• Maintain accurate financial records and documentation
