Job summary

Sodexo are seeking a Technical Services Lead for the Eli Lilly site in Kinsale, Co. Cork. This 6-month fixed-term contract oversees hard facilities management, engineering maintenance and a technical services team to deliver safe, efficient maintenance services within a critical pharmaceutical environment.

You will manage PPM and reactive maintenance, oversee contractors, drive continuous improvement and ensure compliance with health and safety standards while achieving KPI targets.

Qualifications

• Degree in Engineering or equivalent qualification (BIFM Level 5 preferred).
• Experience in building services, plant engineering and technical maintenance.
• Experience managing a maintenance/technical services team and delivering against SLAs.
• Experience in a critical environment (pharma/FMCG/manufacturing).
• Knowledge of health and safety legislation, risk assessments, COSHH & water hygiene.

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day operational and commercial management of Hard FM services, including maintenance, contractors and site operations.
• Develop and manage the technical services team, focusing on performance, training, wellbeing and continuous improvement.
• Oversee Planned Preventative Maintenance, reactive maintenance, helpdesk activities and technical projects.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety legislation, environmental standards, and site procedures.
• Manage Permit to Work system and safe systems of work.
• Monitor KPIs and SLAs, ensure consistent service delivery and customer satisfaction.
• Manage contract costs, identify improvement opportunities and drive efficiency.
• Support energy management initiatives, asset management and innovative technical solutions.
• Conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective actions.
• Coordinate contractors, suppliers and specialists to ensure safe, high-standard work.

Technical Services Lead – 6-Month FTC

Salary: €70,000 - €75,000 per annum

Are you an experienced technical services professional with a strong background in Hard Facilities Management and engineering maintenance? Sodexo is looking for a Technical Services Lead to oversee the delivery of technical services at our Eli Lilly site in Kinsale.

This is an exciting opportunity for a technically skilled leader to manage a team, drive operational excellence, ensure compliance and deliver a safe, efficient and customer-focused maintenance service within a critical environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the day-to-day operational and commercial management of Hard FM services, including engineering maintenance, contractors and site operations.
• Manage and develop the technical services team, supporting performance, training, wellbeing and continuous improvement.
• Oversee Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM), reactive maintenance, helpdesk activities and technical projects.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant health and safety legislation, environmental standards and site procedures.
• Manage the Permit to Work system and ensure safe systems of work are implemented and maintained.
• Monitor and achieve agreed KPIs and SLAs, ensuring consistent service delivery and customer satisfaction.
• Manage contract costs effectively, identify opportunities for improvement and maximise operational efficiency.

• Conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective actions to prevent recurring technical issues.
• Coordinate contractors, suppliers and specialist service providers to ensure work is completed safely and to the required standards.

What We’re Looking For

• A degree in Engineering or an equivalent relevant qualification, ideally BIFM Level 5 or similar.
• Experience in building services, plant engineering and technical maintenance.
• Previous experience managing a maintenance or technical services team and delivering against SLAs.
• Experience working in a critical environment, ideally within pharmaceutical, FMCG or manufacturing.
• Knowledge of health and safety legislation, risk assessments, COSHH and water hygiene regulations.
• Strong troubleshooting, analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Familiarity with Maximo, CMMS or equivalent maintenance management systems.
• Excellent communication, organisational and people management skills.
• Strong commercial awareness, with the ability to manage costs and drive service improvements.
