Job Description

The Technical Salesperson is accountable for partnering with key end-users and engineering companies to deliver productivity gains and increased operational efficiencies. This will be accomplished by on-site end-user focused activities, including product recommendations, application support, and on-site product testing. This role would be ideal for someone who is self-motivated, organised, and works on their own initiative.

Key Tasks & Responsibilities
  • Identify, penetrate, and close end-user opportunities.
  • Build and maintain long-lasting, strong relationships with customer leadership while partnering with them to better understand their needs.
  • Collaborate with the internal Product Team at our client\'s HQ in Co Cavan to specify existing or develop new products that deliver productivity enhancing solutions to the end-user.
  • Conduct face-to-face sales calls, deliver product presentations and services that will bring value to the customer\'s business.
  • Conduct product testing and collect performance data which will be used to provide value proposition to the customer.
  • Utilise CRM to manage a pipeline of opportunities through our client\'s sales process in support of achieving assigned sales targets.
  • Represent the business at industry relevant trade shows and events.
  • Maintain expert product and industry knowledge.
  • The work environment changes daily and involves work at manufacturing sites and remote areas within the assigned account responsibility.
Skills and Experience Required
  • Fabrication experience within the metal or OEM Agri machinery manufacturing sectors.
  • Technical sales experience within engineering and or metal work industry.
  • A track record of success selling value-added solutions and solving problems in the engineering sector.
  • Strong organisational, planning and troubleshooting skills.
  • Excellent customer service skills, ability to collaborate within a team.
  • The role requires travel around the Leinster region.
  • Valid driving licence will be required.
