Job summary

Google is seeking a Technical Program Manager in Ireland to lead complex, multi-disciplinary projects from start to finish. You will plan requirements, identify risks, manage schedules, and communicate with cross-functional partners across the company.

The role emphasizes networking technologies and pragmatic tradeoffs in product development. As part of Google Cloud, you will help deliver enterprise-grade solutions and oversee programs with a focus on availability, SLAs/SLOs, and performance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
• 2 years of experience in program management.
• Experience with infrastructure design.
• Experience in managing end-to-end lifecycle of technical projects.
• 2 years of experience managing cross-functional or cross-team projects.
• Experience in the delivery of infrastructure, software and services related projects.
• Familiarity with operational concepts such as availability, SLAs, SLOs, SLIs and error budgets.
• Strong communication and organizational skills with a strong attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Own and drive planning and execution: projects, OKRs.
• Coordinate projects across Networking SRE partners and development teams.
• Apply technical judgment by leveraging experience in Networking technologies, architectures and protocols (e.g., IS-IS, MPLS, BGP) or Networking services to the programs they manage.
• Understand requirements, track, execute and report on critical programs in the networking space.
• Manage dependencies and risk, including implementing mitigation plans to address them.
