Job summary

Wipro Limited in Dublin is seeking an IBM MQ/ACE Administrator to join our 3 days onsite per week team. The role involves managing MQ queue managers, channels and queues, installations, upgrades, and continuous production support across environments.

The ideal candidate has 5–8 years of MQ experience, strong scripting in BASH and Perl, and hands-on work with Jenkins pipelines and Git. You will collaborate with development teams to ensure timely deployments and system health.

• Experience with installations/upgrades, clustering, load balancing.
• Scripting in BASH and Perl for WMQ administration.

Responsibilities

• Provide 24/7 on-call support in production.
• Collaborate with Development/Applications teams in testing and deployments.
• Prepare and implement Change Plans and RCA for critical issues.
• Assist IBM PMRs and coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure system health.
• Balance quick fixes with long-term stability and reliability.

Dublin -3 Days a Week Onsite mandatory

JD ::

• MQ/ACE Admin daily activities include but not limited to Creating the MQ Queue Managers, Channels, Queues, Increasing the Channels, Configuring MQ Triggers...Etc.… based on the Application requirement.
• MQ/ACE Installations/Upgrades, MQ Clustering, Load balancing, Queue Status, Type of Channel Status.
• Experience with Jenkins pipeline, IBM Chef deployments, git, XLR,
  
• Provided 24/7 on call support in production environment.
• Working with IBM on the PMRs.
• Supporting & Assisting the Development/Application Teams in their Testing in all the environments till they successfully go into Production.
• Prepare and implement the Change Plans and providing the RCA for problems, which are critical to business.
• Experience in BASH, Perl scripting for WMQ, automatic start/stop for channels, trigger monitors, Listeners, Channel Status, and MQ Security.
  
• Systematic problem-solving approach, coupled with strong communication skills and a sense of ownership and drive.
• Ability to balance doing things right with fixing things quickly. Flexible and pragmatic, while working towards improving the long-term health of the system.
• Comfortable collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure that expected system behavior is understood, and monitoring exists to detect anomalies.
