Jobgether, on behalf of our partner in Ireland, seeks a Technical Lead (DeFi) for a fully remote leadership role. You will guide a team of software engineers and a Technical Product Manager, shaping MEV services and Ethereum mempool workflows while delivering scalable DeFi infrastructure.

You will blend hands-on coding with technical strategy, drive product offerings to maximize validator profitability, and collaborate with DeFi searchers to improve trading execution.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience managing an engineering team.
• 5+ years of experience designing, building, testing, and deploying scalable distributed backend systems.
• 3+ years of professional experience in blockchain engineering.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work with technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Lead, mentor, and support a team of software engineers and a Technical Product Manager.
• Guide the design, implementation, and optimization of MEV services and Ethereum mempool transaction workflows.
• Define and deliver product offerings to maximize validator gains and profitability.
• Collaborate with DeFi searchers to develop tools and services that improve trading execution.
• Contribute hands-on code to the Blockchain Distribution Network (BDN) and related services.
• Ensure backend systems deliver high performance, scalability, and reliability.

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Technical Lead (DeFi) based in Ireland.

This fully remote leadership opportunity is ideal for an experienced software engineer passionate about blockchain technology and decentralized finance. You will lead a team of software engineers and a Technical Product Manager while helping shape innovative DeFi infrastructure. The role combines hands‑on engineering with technical strategy, team development, and product delivery. You will work on high-performance MEV services and Ethereum mempool transaction workflows. Your contributions will help improve validator profitability and trading execution for DeFi searchers. The position offers an opportunity to build scalable distributed systems within a technically ambitious, collaborative environment. Candidates based in Germany and other eligible locations across Europe or the UK can work remotely.

Accountabilities

• Deep proficiency in Go (Golang) for backend development.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities, with the capacity to break down complex technical challenges.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively with both technical and non‑technical stakeholders.
• A combination of technical leadership experience and hands‑on engineering expertise.
