Job description

This is an opportunity to join a top-tier aircraft lessor in Dublin, in role where you will shape the technical decisions behind major aircraft deals, deliveries and transitions.

Working across technical and commercial functions, you will provide engineering input into aircraft-related decisions and projects. The role includes direct engagement with airlines and external technical partners, giving you visibility across both the operational and commercial considerations affecting an aircraft.

Key duties will include:

• Providing engineering input into aircraft transactions
• Working directly with airlines on aircraft specifications and modifications
• Comparing configuration options, costs and lead times
• Managing the technical and cost aspects of aircraft transitions
• Supporting new-aircraft specification and delivery activity
• Reviewing modification documentation and external vendor commitments
• Keeping current with relevant regulatory mandates and aircraft technology

Rather than being limited to one engineering discipline, you will contribute across transactions, aircraft configuration, technical projects, cost management and delivery activity.

• At least seven years’ engineering experience gained within an airline, OEM, MRO, Part 21 organisation or aircraft lessor.
• You should hold an aeronautical degree or B1/B2 engineering licence and have strong knowledge of Airbus or Boeing aircraft systems. Familiarity with EASA and FAA requirements will be important, while avionics experience would be advantageous.
• The role involves international travel, including travel at short notice.
