Job summary

Peak Performance Recruitment partners with a leading aircraft and engine leasing platform to hire a Technical Analyst for the Technical Operations team. The role focuses on streamlining aviation data workflows and improving asset visibility across internal teams.

You will develop data storage, analysis, and visualization methods to support lease, maintenance, sale and acquisition processes, and build Power BI reports for management insights in collaboration with external partners.

Job description

This newly created position with a successful aircraft and engine leasing platform has been established to help manage aviation portfolio technical data through integration of best-in-class systems and development of robust processes.

As a member of the Technical Operations team, the Technical Analyst will work with internal and external parties to:

• Streamline technical data workflows and improve data accessibility across functional teams.
• Continuously develop data storage, analysis, and visualization methods to support the management of assets and the lease, maintenance, sale and acquisition processes.
• Liaise between internal teams, and external advisors and partners. Execute initiatives to build the portfolio and the brand.

Responsibilities:

Asset Management System

• Manage asset configuration in the lease management system (coordinate with external support providers for new asset population, perform data audits, maintain current / accurate specs of all aircraft and engines)
• Work with external parties as required to improve data visibility and accessibility for management reports, analytics, and other uses

Technical Records

Assist the Technical Records Director to manage aircraft and engine records during the life cycle from asset acquisitions and disposals, EOL transitions, maintenance activities and trading counterparty access

Other

• Assist Technical Operations team with maintaining and updating engine forecast reports
• Support third party service suppliers with access to OEM portals, document retrieval and system access
• Continuous update of internal knowledge base
• Track fleet-wide issues applicable to the portfolio
• Support remarketing/trading teams with aircraft and engine specifications
• Support development of internal forecasting tools and systems
• Support development of reports in Power BI
• Produce scheduled datasets for fleet appraisals
• Ad hoc requests of a technical nature

Required Skills and Experience

• Experience in an aircraft lessor technical department, an aircraft technical management consultancy, an MRO or an airline technical department
• Functional understanding of aviation technical records and maintenance practices
• Knowledgeable user of an asset management system
• Familiarity with digital records management systems
• Highly competent user of Microsoft Excel
• Experience with Power BI or other data analytics tools and their use in an aviation context
• Great attention to detail with strong numeracy skills
• A positive team approach, capable of working on own initiative
